Amanda Gentry, APRN, FNP-C 

Amanda is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as an Advanced Practice Nurse in family medicine. She was raised in Midland and graduated from Greenwood High School in 2000. Amanda graduated from Schreiner University with her LVN in 2007. She worked her way through RN school and gained her Associates degree in Nursing in 2010 from San Antonio College. She received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2015 from Angelo State University. Amanda completed her Master’s degree in nursing with honors in 2018. She also holds an Associates degree in Science from Midland College.

Amanda began her career at Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville, where she worked in many areas including the medical-surgical unit, ICU, and charge nurse over both IMC and telemetry units. She moved to Brownwood with her family in 2011. She worked at Brownwood Regional Medical Center until 2018, again serving many roles including telemetry, ICU, PACU, day surgery, and the Walker Cancer Center. After gaining her FNP, she began working at Affordacare Urgent Care in Early. Amanda has a total of 13 years of medical experience. She has certificates in Medical Aesthetics Training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Advanced Pediatric Life Support.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church where she volunteers in Awana on Wednesday nights. Amanda is an active member of the community and currently serves on the board and coaches both the Early Youth Softball Association and the Early Youth Cheer Association.

Amanda strives to provide each patient personalized care and attention as if they were her only patient. Whether they are seen episodically for unexpected ailments or more frequently for chronic conditions, Amanda partners with patients to improve their health and quality of life.
